Engagement and Feedback

Capreon and the project team would like to thank all those who provided feedback during our consultation, which included a public exhibition and virtual online consultation.

Informed by feedback we received from the community and the further work undertaken as part of the design evolution of the scheme; we have made the following changes to the proposals.

Removal of the originally proposed 3G All Weather Pitch, sports pavilion and car park
Introduction of a 5m wide landscape buffer planting and maintenance strip (maintenance access only) to protect the private amenity of existing residents on Deer Park Walk
Proposed development capacity amended, from approximately 150 to 170 new homes
Development set back to accommodate the revised drainage strategy and Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SuDS) requirements
Direct cycleway and footway connection to Hillcroft Road provided along the edge of the proposed development
Landscape buffer strengthened along Lycrome Road and along western boundary

Outline Planning Application and Planning Considerations

The site has previously been identified as suitable for development as an allocated site in the draft Local Plan.

The application seeks outline planning permission, with all matters reserved except for one means of access. Details of scale, layout, appearance and landscaping would be provided for approval at the Reserved Matters stage.
